Frequently asked questions

Where do the workshops take place?

We have moved! Our new address is Unit 1, The Old Gasworks Mill Road, Peel, Isle of Man, IM5 1AX. Behind House of Manannan, onto Mill Road, first left after the traffic lights (end of Station Road, opposite the Creek).

Do adults stay with children during workshops?

Most workshops are unaccompanied unless it is a 'family workshop', we take children from approximately age 5+ (guide only). We allow parents to stay for a 'settling in period' if necessary.

Ceramic Collections

Reminders collections

* It can take approximately 3 months to get through this process as everything needs to be carefully dried to reduce  risk of exploding/damage. In the case of the thrown pots these are trimmed after you leave. After the initial firing, the artworks are sorted for glazing (even this process can take a day) before glazing and firing (again approx 4 days work) and all of this needs to fit into a busy schedule of events.

There is a huge amount of post event production that you don’t see to finish your pots which is why it can seem like a long time.

I hope this helps explain why it can seemingly take so long.

**It would be really helpful if you add our email to your contacts so that when we send out the collection email (probably towards the end of the month), you ought to receive it - sometimes they end up in spam!

We will include a notice on social media once collections dates have been arranged.

If you didn’t receive our email with a link to fill your collection time, this may have happened for a variety of reasons:

Email incorrectly added at the time of ordering

Going into Spam mail, or deleting prior to reading or our email is rejected by the service provider.

Unfortunately we don’t know if our emails and reminders have not been received which is why we advice customers to include our email address in their contacts.
