Children's Art Fun!!! Children who love exploring their creativity. This workshop is aimed at age 6+ but we always use age as a guide - please contact us if you are unsure.
Ages: from 6+ / 9+ (age is a guide - please contact us if you are unsure)

Ceramic Collection Times

CERAMICS COLLECTIONS:

Paint & Go: Your bisque painted ceramics should be ready to collect within 6 weeks but we will contact when they are ready for collection.

Creating Art from clay: It can take approximately 3 months to get through this process as everything needs to be carefully dried to reduce risk of exploding/damage.

There is a huge amount of post event production that you don’t see to finish your ceramic Artwork which is why it can seem like a long time.

**It would be really helpful if you add our email to your contacts so that when we send out the collection email (probably towards the end of the month), you ought to receive it - sometimes they end up in spam!

We will include a notice on social media once collections dates have been arranged.

Monday 17th February - Day 1

AM ★ Lunar Landscapes

Join us for an exciting + super tactile workshop where young artists can unleash their creativity and explore the fascinating world of sculpture and painting! In this hands-on session, children will have the opportunity to work with mod roc and modelling paste to create unique three-dimensional moon surfaces.

Children will mold and shape their lunar landscapes, adding craters and textures to bring their creations to life. Once the sculpting is complete, we'll dive into the colorful world of paint and inks. Kids will learn to apply vibrant pastels and charcoal, enhancing their pieces with shimmers of metallic inks to make their artworks truly out of this world!

PM ★ Dazzling Planetary Mixed Media

Join us for a fun-filled mixed media painting workshop where kids will unleash their creativity to create a dazzling night sky featuring the moon in all its glorious phases! Using a combination of watercolour, inks, acrylic paint, and collage techniques, children will learn how to blend colours to depict the deep blues and purples of the night, while adding texture and dimension with collage elements that represent stars and clouds. Each child will leave with a unique masterpiece that captures the beauty of the night sky and the magic of the moon. Let’s make art together!

Tuesday 18th February - Day 2

AM ★ Ceramic Planetarium Lantern

We are thrilled to offer an amazing opportunity for children to unleash their creativity in our POTTERY studio!

Join our enchanting children's ceramic workshop, where young creators will embark on a delightful journey into the cosmos! Participants will have the opportunity to craft their very own dazzling cosmic T-Light holder, inspired by the mesmerizing beauty of planets and stars. This hands-on experience not only fosters creativity but also allows children to explore the wonders of the universe while developing essential artistic skills.

***Actual T-light artwork will be ready at Easter so they can to illuminate homes with a touch of cosmic magic this Spring!

PM ★ ‘The Starry Night’ For kids : Mini Masters based on the famous painting by van Gogh

Mixed Media on Paper. Join us for a vibrant workshop where children can create their own dazzling starry night masterpiece! Using layers of colorful oil pastels and acrylic paint, participants will bring the stars to life on paper. The acrylic paint will add a beautiful shine and depth to their creations, enhancing the overall effect of their artwork. This fun and engaging activity is perfect for sparking conversations about constellations and the fascinating stories behind the master artist himself. Let’s explore the magic of Van Gogh’s iconic painting while unleashing our creativity!

Wednesday 19th February- Day 3
AM ★ Galaxy Canvas Painting:

Join us for a whimsical adventure at our children's workshop, where you'll unleash your inner Picasso and paint a mini canvas featuring a dreamy moon dancing in a kaleidoscopic galaxy! Get ready to splash, blend, and sprinkle your way to cosmic creativity! Let the enchanting glow of the moon inspire your imagination as we explore the vibrant colors and magical patterns of the universe together. Construct a 3D model of a spaceship using recycled materials. Encourage children to think about design elements that a spacecraft might need for a journey through the stars.

PM ★ Celestial, Lunar Moon dial, Hidden Secret box

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of cosmic creativity with our Cosmic Art Exploration workshop inspired by Candace Houchin, of Lunar Art House! Here, aspiring mini artists can unleash their imagination using a vibrant array of materials. In this lively session, children will express their celestial visions on mixed media materials, while experimenting with everything from acrylics to ink and playful collages + create an altered secret key box.This workshop is inspired by the brilliant night-scape of dark skies.

Our mini-artists will create + build confidence + dexterity in a place for artists to sparkle + shine + showcase their success in the heart of our maker space! Perfectly creating atmosphere this half term!
