ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Willow Spring wreath + Easter Crafts.
The workshop for children offers a hands-on experience in willow crafting, encouraging creativity through the use of willow branches, nature and a little studio mixed media additions! This workshop encourages children to explore their creativity , and offers a unique opportunity to create a decorative wreaths, and a whimsical botanical Spring wreath, home ornament.
The workshop begins with an introduction to willow crafting, sharing stories and showcasing traditional uses of willow in different cultures. Participants are then guided through basic weaving techniques, allowing them to safely bend and shape the willow branches while planning their designs and selecting materials.
Children are encouraged to unleash their creativity by experimenting with simple weaving techniques and incorporating other natural materials, such as dried flowers and leaves, into their crafts. After completing their projects, they will add personal finishing touches with some hand created paper floral motifs, ribbons, or other decorative elements.
Overall, the workshop enhances children's appreciation for nature, teaches fundamental crafting skills in a fun way, and provides an avenue for imaginative expression.
