Hop-tu-naa Half Term Art Days: Creepy Crafts - 26th, 27th October
Is this the right course for me?
Ceramic Collection Times
CERAMICS COLLECTIONS:
Paint & Go: Your bisque painted ceramics should be ready to collect within 6 weeks but we will contact when they are ready for collection.
Creating Art from clay: It can take approximately 3 months to get through this process as everything needs to be carefully dried to reduce risk of exploding/damage.
There is a huge amount of post event production that you don’t see to finish your ceramic Artwork which is why it can seem like a long time.
**It would be really helpful if you add our email to your contacts so that when we send out the collection email (probably towards the end of the month), you ought to receive it - sometimes they end up in spam!
We will include a notice on social media once collections dates have been arranged.

Drawing inspiration from famous spells, they will unleash their magic and creativity, creating unforgettable moments of artistic expression.
Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc: 26th Oct
Embark on a vibrant creative escapade as we dive into the captivating realm of the Mystery Inc. gang: shrewd ascot-wearing group leader Fred, beautiful but “danger-prone” Daphne, plus brainy, tomboyish Velma + most important of all Scooby Doo himself and his owner, Shaggy.
Day 2: Ghostly Miniature Portraits & Haunted House Lantern
Haunted House Lanterns: 27th Oct
In this workshop, kids will design spooky lanterns to brighten their Halloween nights. They will use recycled jars or small boxes to craft haunted house silhouettes from black construction paper. After decorating, participants will receive tea lights for a safe glowing effect. To add a touch of fright, children can embellish their lanterns with spooky details like bats, ghosts, and cobwebs, transforming them into the perfect eerie centerpiece.
Miniature Gallery of Ghostly Portraits: 27th Oct
Children will create a tiny, creepy portraits on small canvases. They Wii paint or draw ghostly figures, eerie landscapes, or haunted family portraits using watercolors, acrylics, or charcoals. This workshop not only develops artistic skills but also invites children to explore storytelling through art, as each portrait can have its own spooky backstory.
This workshop encourages dexterity and creativity while providing a fun way to celebrate Halloween through wearable art.
Why Artmaking is soooo good for you!
Great for the soul Art making, as Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge”, (we know knowledge is fundamental too) it is the key to problem solving and helps boost kids' social, emotional, creative, physical, linguistic and cognitive development...... and if that wasn't enough, it's fun!!!
